Salamander Solutions have brought to the market electric-cable heaters of unprecedented length, power and reliability. They have been deployed downhole in both vertical and horizontal wells with excellent results (increase in oil rate, decrease in water cut). The history of two such deployments, both in horizontal production wells in heavy-oil deposits in Alberta, will be presented at the upcoming 2019 Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, held in Calgary on September 30 – October 2. Don’t miss this presentation on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 at 2:25 p.m. in room Palomino A-C, BMO Centre at Stampede Park.
